Gotti is a 5½ year old, 51 pound Pit Bull Terrier who was brought to the shelter after his previous owner could no longer care for him. He had health issues that turned out to be a food allergy to chicken. He is doing much better now so, he's been able to show off his smarts! Gotti knows "sit," "down," and "paw" and, with more training, we're sure you could teach him even more commands! He also demonstrates some food resource guarding so he'll need space when eating as he learns to be at ease while eating.

Gotti had lived with children in the past, but they were apprehensive around him. An ideal environment for him would be in a family without young children, that offers him mental and physical activity. In his past, Gotti had successfully lived with cats but he is reported to have "a fast and direct approach towards other dogs." So, as always, a meet-and-greet with other dogs in the home will be necessary. Gotti is looking for his forever home with a dog-savvy owner who can give him the opportunity to be the best boy he can be!!! 💜
