Olive is a lovely, active brindle-colored girl who isn’t quite a year old. She was sadly surrendered to the Prince George’s County shelter by a family who only had her a short time and gave the excuse of ‘no time’ as the reason for surrender. The county prohibits any dog that resembles a pit bull from being adopted.

Well, we think Olive is worth every minute, hour, month, and all the years some lucky family will spend with her! Olive was such a favorite dog at the shelter that several rescue groups were interested in adopting her out but AAHA was the only one that was able to make room for her.

Olive is very affectionate and loves to have company. She tries to jump the highest to be seen when a volunteer approaches the kennels to get a dog out for a walk. While out-and-about she loves to play with toys, romp in the stream, and go for a long hike.

Olive has responded well to training and meeting other dogs, and has shown no guarding behaviors. Overall, she really is an ideal pup and would love a forever family to call her own!! 💜

Olive is a house-trained spayed female with up-to-date vaccinations.

She will be good in a home with children and other dogs.
