Spike is a 1.5-2 year old pitty/boxer mix who came to AAHA from Baltimore County Animal Control where he was brought in as a stray. There were too many dogs at the shelter and not enough people to give the larger dogs homes. His owners were located, but stated they were unable to care for him any longer.
Spike is energetic and gentle, attentive, obeys commands, and walks well on a leash. He is dog-friendly and appears to tolerate cats – though that’s only been tested by our volunteers with outdoor cats. Spike, of course, is exceptionally people-friendly! He loves a good hug and seems to be fine being touched all over. Spike also rides well in the car and is not protective over food. ... An all-around GOOD BOY!!!
As for his breed, please don't let the "p" word scare you... it also stands for patient, perfectly awesome, and playful which he is, by the way!!! :)
Spike is in excellent health with no medical problems. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
