Parker

This darling little Dachshund Terrier mix has had his share of bad luck and is looking for a loving, committed, forever home to settle down. At some point Parker was well-loved and well-cared for and even took a formal obedience class.

Parker is 4-5 years old, weighing around 25 lbs, but he’s still quite a puppy. He absolutely loves attention and snuggling with his people; an excellent bed-warmer for certain! He does well with cats too. Full of enthusiasm and curiosity, Parker enjoys playing, going for walks, hiking, and exploring new things … bugs, birds … anything!

Parker can be initially shy with new people, but he warms up quickly. He is well-behaved in the house but he’s not into lawn mowers, skateboards and other noisy, strange vehicles. He is housebroken and crate trained - but he prefers to be out of the crate. Since Parker can easily get overstimulated (lot of action, parties, running around), he would do best in a relatively quiet, adult home (he has not lived with children). Experience with small dogs would be ideal. Also, a commitment to training is important when bringing any canine companion into a new home. Parker is up-to-date on shots, neutered, healthy and he is also microchipped. Parker is looking for his very own family to share his life and love with.
